Dan Sutton, PGA Director of Instruction

Dan Sutton is pleased to announce the founding of the Dan Sutton School of Golf. Having served the Toledo, Ohio area for over 30 years, he is more than happy to dedicate his time and resources to coaching and teaching the game of golf to all his students. 

He will be based at The Golf PIT at McDivots Golf Center, while still teaching at Quarry Ridge during the off season.

Dan, a PGA of America Golf Professional, strives to share his passions with others and to help them be the best person and golfer they can be. He believes in a comprehensive approach to golf improvement, in which every individual has their own secret for success. 

Dan is a lifelong student of the game of golf, who started playing at age 12 thanks to his childhood hero, Jack Nicklaus. He provides the best resources, technology and information available to his students. He also believes through hard work and perseverance, all dreams are possible.

Dan has been coaching golf in the Toledo, Ohio area for over three decades. He has been the Golf Coach at St. Francis DeSales High School for the past 10 years. He has been instrumental in the success of many great players and there have been great accomplishments and highlights every season. Coach Dan has had several students go on to play collegiate golf.

Dan is also a Certified Club Fitter and believes properly fitted equipment is a vital piece of the equation to playing your best golf. He is a University of Toledo grad with a degree in Club Management. He enjoys spending down time with his wife, Marcia, son, Sam and daughter, Sydney. 

The Dan Sutton School of Golf offers a wide range of instructional programs to help you master the game of golf. Finally, Dan will assess your current game using video swing technology, listen to your goals, and form a short-term and long-term improvement plan based on your needs.
